About this Event

Looking for an exciting, inclusive event that celebrates diversity in comics, animation, and gaming? Pocket Con 2024 is the place to be! Join us on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Harold Washington Library for a day packed with creativity and fun—and it’s all FREE!

What You’ll Experience:

  • Comic Vendors featuring unique works from creators of color, women, and LGBTQIA+ artists
  • Interactive Game Rooms with video games and more
  • Live Performances showcasing local talent
  • Panel Discussions with artists and creators about their journey
  • Exciting Contests (including cosplay and drawing)—show off your skills!
  • Free Goody Bags for all attendees

Want to Be a Vendor? !

Pocket Con is youth-focused, so all art and comics must be family-friendly. We prioritize diversity and quality.

Key Info:

  • Application Deadline: October 31, 2024
  • Table Space: Limited—apply early!
  • No table fee, but we ask for a $50 merchandise donation for goody bags (comics, posters, etc.).

SGLAI mentors youth through creative outlets, building resilience, self-determination, and practical skills.
