Earn Two Hands-On Merit Badges in One DayOpen to Scouts BSA members ages 13 and older
Scouts are invited to a unique hands-on workshop where they can earn both the Plumbing merit badge and Welding merit badge under the guidance of industry professionals.
Plumbing merit badge – Hosted by Arden Engineering
Scouts will dive into the fundamentals of plumbing systems and learn how they work, how to fix common issues, and why water conservation matters. This workshop gives participants practical skills, confidence with tools, and insight into real-world career paths.
Welding merit badge
Scouts will learn to work safely with welding tools, understand different metals, and complete basic welds themselves. This badge encourages patience, attention to detail, and hands-on creativity while allowing Scouts to produce something tangible using professional equipment.

Why Attend
This event gives Scouts an opportunity to explore trade skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. They will gain practical knowledge, build confidence, and experience two career-path-focused merit badges taught by experts in the field.
Registration
Register online. Space is limited.
Required Attire
Because this is a shop environment, all Scouts must wear:
* Long pants such as denim or sturdy work pants (must cover shoe tops)
* Long-sleeve shirts
* Work boots or hiking boots (no crocs)
Proper attire is required for safety and participation.
Arden Engineering T-shirt and lunch will be provided.
