This is the ideal class for someone who has never painted or struggles with plein air!!! Come join in the fun! Great for beginners & intermediates!3pm - 5pm - in classroom @ Trackside Studio where we will get prepared. This will allow us to gatherer our materials, prep our palettes by premixing paint, and go over the fundamentals of plein air.
* Then we will take our individual vehicles to Carrier Park right around the corner*
Between 5pm & 6pm we will snack & set up - By 6pm we will be ready to capture the "Golden Hour" on canvas. We will wrap things up by 7:30pm and get on road just before dark.
Workshop Description:
A workshop focused on painting el plein air (outdoors on location) to capture natural light, atmosphere, and landscape subjects, teaching fundamental techniques like color mixing, composition, value, and simplifying scenes, suitable for all levels emphasizing learning from direct observation and the environment.
A plein air workshop (from the French en plein air, meaning "in the open air") is an educational art session focused on painting or drawing directly from nature outdoors. Unlike studio painting, which often uses photographs as reference, plein air artists must capture shifting light, atmosphere, and moving subjects in real-time.
