About this Event
Join Matchbox Theatre Berlin for a hands-on writing workshop designed to help you craft your own 1-act play. Through interactive exercises and guided writing sessions, you'll gain the tools and confidence to develop a first draft — at your own pace, of course!
You'll have dedicated time to write, share ideas with fellow attendees, and receive feedback in a supportive environment. Plus, you’ll leave with workshop materials to use for the future.
Inline with our 2026 1-act play festival, we will be working with the theme of mysteries, so you can look forward to exercises that help you build suspense and intrigue in your writing.
Why This Workshop?
We’re hosting this workshop in anticipation of the second annual Berlin Diaries: 1-Act Play Festival. Writers who complete a 1-Act play will be encouraged to submit their work for consideration. - Story Structure – Crafting a solid narrative arc
- Characterization Through Dialogue – Making your characters come alive
- Editing – Refining your work for impact
- Elements of mystery writing to build suspense and intrigue.
