Supporting creativity, connection and confidence through movement, music, stories and games.
About this Event
PlayDance presents a unique opportunity to let loose and get free with this action packed dance workshop designed especially for kids aged 5 and under.
Developed and facilitated by dance therapist Lottie Ball, these sessions are inclusive and fully accessible to all, aiming to provide a foundation for confident self expression and a vocabulary for movement.
The emphasis here is on FUN! We work on basic movement elements with the support of props, music, storytelling, imagery and games. This approach offers both a safe container for the magic to unfold and plenty of scope for creative freedom.
We explore: balancing, jumping, turning, stretching and gliding.
Enhancing: motor ability, movement repertoire and range, spatial awareness.
Most importantly, participants experience dance in a joyful, non-judgemental setting, contributing to feelings of acceptance and belonging, self-worth and self-belief - essential ingredients for a happy human!
Guardians go free and babes in arms are welcomed equally in the space. This venue is wheelchair accessible and has toilets and changing facilities. There is a small cafe in the front entrance and the workshop space is airy and light, with lots of room for movement. Any queries feel free to contact the organiser.
