Play with Clay! Weekend Workshop

Students are invited to join Awesome Art for a 2-day clay workshop. Adults and students 12+ are welcome to attend.

We will learn pinch pots, coil pots, sgraffito and kurinuki carving. We will be using underglazes to add color to the clay.

Allison Lash's Awesome Art! and art teaching philosophy includes fostering hands-on artmaking for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. While providing creative tools, skills and guidance, Allison’s pedagogical philosophy stems from her art teacher training in the Reggio Emilia student centered approach. While leading creative experiences, she encourages peer-to-peer instruction, and invites opportunities for collaborative learning and creative problem solving, while identifying the uplifting mental health benefits of artmaking.
