With the help of our tutor Niamh Phillips, you will explore two primary construction methods and delve into the vibrant world of coloured clay inlay. By the end of the 5 weeks, you’ll have a collection of unique pieces, such as:
Pinch Pot Creations: Salt pigs, organic mugs, vases to name just a few!
Slab-Built Projects: Structured jugs, boxes, or geometric planters featuring your own custom patterns.
The Finishing Process
You design it, you build it, and you decorate it. Once the course is complete, we will carefully dry, fire, and glaze your work in a professional transparent gloss to make your colours pop. Your finished masterpieces will be ready for collection 4 weeks after the final class.

Meet Your Tutor:
Niamh is a ceramic designer and maker who brings a vibrant, contemporary energy to the Leeds pottery scene. Her journey with clay began in Ireland and led her to Central Saint Martins in London, where she refined her craft through a degree in Ceramic Design. Having spent years developing her practice and working in ceramic education in the capital, Niamh now operates from her studio at Hope House in Mabgate, where she balances her professional making with a deep-rooted passion for teaching.

All tickets are non -refundable.

We are able to provide credit / transfer onto another course or workshop if there is two or more weeks’ notice.

Within a two-week period, under no circumstances can we transfer you onto another event. We have incurred material costs & committed numbers to the tutor.
