DRESSMAKING ATELIER

Whether you’re mastering the basics of drafting your first bespoke pattern, this class provides a clear, progressive roadmap. To ensure focused instruction and a smooth class flow, we follow a set curriculum and unfortunately cannot accommodate personal outside projects.

Level 1: The Essentials (Beginners)

Build your confidence with the sewing machine. Learn core techniques while crafting an easy-fit, rectangle-sleeve top from scratch.

Level 2: The Transition (Advanced Beginners)

Learn the fundamentals of garment construction by making unisex pyjama bottoms with pockets or drawstring wide-leg trousers.

Level 3: The Masterclass (Intermediate)

For those who know the basics but want a perfect fit. Master the art of pattern cutting and grading to create a custom-fit skirt or dress.

Meet Your Tutor:
As the owner of the Bowery and a seasoned art educator, Sandra brings the rigour of the fashion industry directly to your sewing machine. With a career spanning commercial apparel to serving as a Secondary Head of Textiles and GCSE Examiner, she bridges the gap between professional construction and creative craft. A regular at the national Knitting & Stitching Shows, Sandra has taught over 500 people to sew at the Bowery. Her 18 years of experience ensures you receive expert technical guidance at every stitch of your journey.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

• Sewing machines and all technical equipment provided.

• Note: Materials for individual projects are not included.

• First Session: Nothing is needed for the first class.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All tickets are non -refundable.

We are able to provide credit / transfer onto another course or workshop if there is two or more weeks’ notice.

Within a two-week period, under no circumstances can we transfer you onto another event. We have incurred material costs & committed numbers to the tutor.
