The Zeta Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is proud to present the "Platinum Jubilee: Celebrating 70 Years of Service," a collaboration with the PEARL Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Established on April 3, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, by 29 pioneering members, Zeta Theta Omega Chapter will mark its 70th Anniversary on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The celebration will take place at Guy's Party Center, located at 500 E. Waterloo Rd., Akron, OH 44319.
The chapter will observe its 70th birthday celebration on Sunday afternoon. May 26, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Guy's Party Center, located at 500 E Waterloo Rd., Akron, OH 44319. The evening includes dinner, accompanied by live entertainment, a D.J, and dancing. Preferred attire is formal. Tickets are $70.00 per person. Proceeds will support community initiatives, scholarships, and programs.
During the celebration, Zeta Theta Omega will recognize scholars from The University of Akron for their academic success. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is the oldest African-American Greek letter sorority founded by and for African American college-educated women. As of today, AKA has 1,074 chapters and nearly 360,000 members in 11 nations and all states.
