Plates and Mates is a curated dinner series to make new foodie friends in Indy. Meet new people, try new local spots, & enjoy great convos.

This is an intimate, curated dinner series that brings restaurant recommendations to life. It’s all about supporting local restaurants, discovering new places across the city, and meeting people who love trying new things just as much as you do.
Each dinner matches strangers with shared interests at one of our favorite local spots, turning solo plans into a night of discovery, delicious food, and great conversation.

At Curry Leaf, dining is an immersive experience where exquisite Indian fusion cuisine meets elegant surroundings. Our carefully crafted menu takes guests on a flavorful journey, blending traditional spices with modern techniques to create unforgettable dishes. Whether seated indoors or in our inviting outdoor area, guests are treated to a warm ambiance, impeccable service, and a sensory exploration that celebrates the art of fine dining.

• Sign up for the dinner to reserve your spot. It’s $10 to reserve your spot, which covers the curation and includes an appetizer for the table.
• All food and beverage orders during dinner are paid for individually.
• Fill out a brief profile (so we can match you with humans that you have similarities with)
• Wait for your restaurant and table info. You will be notified via email and text 1-2 hours from the dinner date.
• Show up to the dinner. Each table with consist of 4-5 strangers. Make new friends with conversation prompts and ice breakers, then pay for your own bill.
• After dinner, stick around and socialize with the other tables, and view compatibility match scores with everyone.

• 6:30pm Arrive and find your table
• 6:30-8:00pm Dinner with your table
• 8:00-8:30pm Drinks at the bar with everyone (optional)

While Plates and Mates is NOT designed as a singles event, we know connections can happen anywhere. If someone at the experience, whether at your table or across the room, stands out to you, you’ll have access to view the guest list during the event only. You can add a heart next to their name, and if they do the same, you’ll both receive an email one hour after the event. But don't let the guest list deter you from asking for people's contact info during the event too. The guest list has everyone at the dinner, not just singles.

It is important to note that we do not discriminate based on age or sex, and all attendees are welcome at this event.
