About this Event
Plant propagation can be an easy way to make more of your favorite plants, or grow cuttings from a favorite plant of a friend or loved one. Join the Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Durham County to learn all the basics, and go home with your very own cutting.
This class with consist of about 30 minutes of overview, followed by a hands-on session with members of the Master Gardener prop team ready to provide guidance and assistance. Everything you need to get started (or up your propagation game!) will be covered, including basic principles (soil, humidity, and light), how to select the right plants, various propagation techniques (including semi-hardwood cuttings and when to use rooting hormone), and how to increase your propagation success rate.
