About this Event
Do you want to make a difference in your local watershed? Are you interested in the health of our steelhead population? The Watershed Stewards Program and City Farm SLO will be hosting a Watershed Awareness Volunteer Event on April 25th, from 9 am to 1 pm!
We will be planting Coast Live Oak trees and other native plants to improve watershed health. We will also be removing invasive Cape Ivy along the creek.
No experience is necessary to participate! We recommend bringing a hat, pants, long-sleeves, closed-toe shoes, and water. Be ready to get your hands dirty while learning about the San Luis Obispo Creek Watershed!
To learn more, check out the Prefumo Creek Restoration & Enhancement Project and the Watershed Stewards Program on Instagram (@americorpswsp). This event will take place rain or shine.
