About this Event

Join photographer Therese Asplund for this four-hour Superclass and experience a fashion portrait session from concept to creation. Therese will guide you through her creative process—from finding inspiration to styling and shooting portraits that blend the worlds of fashion and fine art.

Together, you’ll build two complete looks using unconventional materials that most people wouldn’t dream of turning into wearable art. Following a live shoot where Therese demonstrates her favourite lighting setups and shares insights on communication and posing, it’s your turn to create. You’ll leave this workshop full of inspiration and ready to launch your own imaginative portrait projects.
(And yes—you’ll never look at a garbage bag the same way again!)

With an intimate group size, this class is perfect for photographers who have some experience with studio photography. The lighting and posing techniques you’ll learn are easily transferable to a variety of portrait styles, including classic portraits, fine art, and even business headshots.

📸 What You’ll Learn:
Finding Inspiration – Discover how Therese draws creative energy from everyday life, art, and emotion.
🧠 Planning the Shoot – Turn inspiration into reality with mood boards, storylines, and strong creative direction.
👗 Styling on a Budget – Craft bold, unforgettable fashion looks using low-cost, unconventional materials.
💡 Lighting & Mood – Explore Therese’s studio lighting setups to enhance emotion and dimension in your portraits.
🧍‍♀️ Posing with Purpose – Learn how to guide your subjects with confidence to create portraits full of strength and feeling.

“I love sharing what I know, and teaching is something I truly enjoy. In this class, I want to show that you can create amazing results without a massive studio, loads of gear, or an expensive styling budget. All it takes is creativity and thinking outside the box!”
Therese Asplund
