About this Event
This workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs in the UT system, hosted by the Brumley institute for Graduate Entrepreneurship, will start with a lecture from industry expert Bart Bohn on best practices for preparing startup financials to be shared with potential investors. There will then be a Q&A portion where you can ask for tailored advice specific to your business and get direct feedback.
About Bart:
Bart supports researchers and entrepreneurs developing solutions to climate change and environmental sustainability. As a Partner at ATP, he invests in early stage, deep-tech startups; as the Director of Special Projects at Pecan Street, he develops energy research and demonstration projects across the country; and as a co-founder of the Green Workforce Accelerator, he helps impact entrepreneurs recruit, train, and place members of disadvantaged communities into green jobs. Additionally, Bart teaches Entrepreneurial Finance at The University of Texas at Austin. Previously in Bart’s entrepreneurial journey, he founded 3 Day Startup to provide learning-by- doing entrepreneurship educational programs to college students; ATI Water to reduce embedded water in agriculture, energy production and manufacturing; WaterRIOT to get internet-of-things technologists to focus on our water infrastructure; UT SEAL to transition the most promising university-sourced startups to the mainstream startup ecosystem; and Build Sec Foundry to help veterans launch cyber security startups. His own AI startups were members of Techstars, Capital Factory and ATI.
