Basic Life Support Program, Paediatric First Response
This course is targeted for all Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Clinicians wanting to update their skills in Infant and Child Basic Life Support.
The program will follow a systematic approach of the underpinning knowledge and skills of the Basic Life Support algorithm including; DRSABCD, Medic*tion and fluid preparation required for the first five minutes of a resuscitation, anaphylaxis and choking management in the infant and child. The program will conclude with a short team training simulation to perfect novice to mastery in the skills learnt throughout the program.
A ll content delivered will be in accordance with the latest updates from the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC)and ANZCOR guidelines.

Venue: Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, HELP Centre, Room 1.034
The Health and Learning Precinct (HELP) is located on Level 1 of the main building at RCH.
Time: 8am to 12pm

Substitution
If a registrant is unable to attend you can nominate another person to attend in your place at no additional cost. Please advise substitutions in writing and email to [email protected].
Waitlist (for fully booked dates)
If the date you wish to attend is fully, booked, please add your name to the waitlist on the Eventbrite page. If a position becomes available, those on the waitlist will be offered a position in order of the list.
Note: no beverages (except water) permitted in the Health Education Learning Precinct rooms.

- Tram 59 from Flinders Street Station (in Elizabeth Street)
- Tram 58 from Toorak via William Street, City
To get to the hospital toward the city , take
- Tram 59 from Airport West
- Tram 58 from West Coburg
Tram and train tickets can be purchased from the RCH retail Wood Ph*rm*cy, located in Main Street.
