About this Event
Join us for an epic showdown highlighting the variety and quality found in both of these magnificent grapes.
While clearly different varietals with origins found respectively in France and Italy, these grape varieties share a commonality in that they make truly elegant wines. They can also be found on pretty much every wine list you are likely to come across.
The pitfall, of course, is that they are rarely sold under their own name, the best examples of each often from their country of origin - carrying names like: Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chianti Classico, Vosne-Romanée and Brunello di Montalcino.
If, as we suspect, you may have run into a few of these - particularly the Italians, this evening expects to teach you about the history of these fantastic grapes, the parts of the world, particularly Pinot Noir, that they have gone on to dominate, and to ultimately give you a better understanding of what to expect from each style the next time you encounter them in the wild.
The tasting will feature six wines accompanied by cheese and charcuterie.
Tickets are limited; we hope to see you for a wonderful evening.
