The tournament will take place on Saturday March 28th at Maple Pinball. Doors at 10 AM, the tournament will start at 11 AM.Cost of the tournament is $50. This includes a $20 donation in support of the Sunnybrook Hospital Odette Cancer Centre, $1 IFPA Fee and $29 Host/Food fee. Food will be delivered at 1:00 pm. Maple has a water cooler for drinks, and we would appreciate you bringing a refillable bottle to cut down on waste or BYOB.
Tournament format is Pace Match Play, with a point target of 42 in 12 rounds. We will be eliminating players after 12 rounds by adding 7 points per round. Once we get down to a predetermined number (up to 24 if we get 48 or more players - this will be determined the week before the tourney) we will do a PAPA style playoff (3 games, 4-2-1-0 scoring, top two advance). Rounds will be DMD, Solid State, EM, Solid State.
Standard PAPA tournament and conduct rules apply.
If everything works out according to plan and we get enough players, this tournament should be worth somewhere between 40-50 WPPR points, a pretty big deal if you're trying to make provincials. Or even if you're just trying to have fun.
Everyone who fills out this form will receive an email by the Thursday before the tournament with all relevant details.
