Join us for a special Piano Masterclass with Nikos Stavlas (www.nikosstavlas.com ), acclaimed concert pianist and former Morley tutor. This is a rare opportunity to receive personalised guidance from an inspiring and experienced artist.
We have 6 spaces available for active performers, and all repertoire is welcome. Those who prefer to watch and learn are warmly invited to attend as observers.
Nikos’s Summary Bio
Greek pianist studied at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, the University of Macedonia, and the Royal College of Music, graduating with distinction and supported by both the Greek State Scholarship Foundation and the RCM. He later completed a PhD at Goldsmiths, University of London, focusing on Ludwig van, Mauricio Kagel’s film and musical tribute to Beethoven.
Stavlas has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Greece, Albania, and the UK, and appears regularly in solo and chamber concerts across Europe. His performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Catalunya Música, and ERT. He has appeared at major venues such as Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room as a member of the Zalas Trio, premiered new works with the Tetrachord Piano Ensemble, and performed experimental repertoire with contemporary music ensembles.
An experienced educator, he teaches piano masterclasses in London, works as an instrumental coach at leading European conservatoires, serves as principal accompanist of the Barcelona Festival of Song, and coaches chamber music in the UK.
