Storytelling School is the ultimate educational and life experience that will prepare you to create compelling images, to work as a values-based photographer, and to become a storyteller for social change.Working alongside Sambhali Trust, you will be guided through a transformative experience that will make your storytelling more impactful, no matter what level you’re at. Together, we will document the stories of women who are rising up, taking their power back, and healing past and future generations.
Participants will learn:
How to build a powerful story that leads the desired audience to a call to action.
Solutions and relationship-based ethical storytelling.
About the intersections of gender equity, climate and other issues.
To take their portraits, landscapes, and documentary images to the next level.
How to use available light and (optionally) external flash and other modifiers to add more texture and movement to your images.
How to craft a narrative to contextualize your story.
How to share your story effectively.
Impact: Proceeds from this workshop will go to supporting our community partners at Sambhali Trust, an organization dedicated to empowering women, children and other equity-seeking communities.
