About this Event
Join Dan Hawk and Sarah Regnier for a daytime photowalk through South Lake Union Park as we explore Seattle’s rich maritime heritage and vibrant waterfront culture. From historic wooden boats and working docks to the iconic seaplanes gliding and landing across Lake Union, this walk offers endless opportunities for dynamic storytelling and urban photography.
We’ll photograph the textures, details, and activity that make the waterfront so unique while discussing composition, capturing motion, layering scenes, and finding compelling moments in a busy environment. Whether you're interested in travel photography, documentary-style imagery, or simply want to spend time shooting alongside fellow photographers, this walk is a fun way to experience one of Seattle’s most photogenic neighborhoods from a fresh perspective.
Bring your camera, a versatile lens, and comfortable walking shoes—we’ll be exploring the waterfront together in search of great light and great images.
Sony will have a limited supply of lenses and cameras to loan out. So if you've been wanting to try a lens or camera to see if it's the right fit, this is a great opportunity to do so.
