About this Event
Explore the creative possibilities of stitching on photographs in this hands-on workshop. Students will transform photographic prints through embroidery, using thread as a drawing tool to add texture, color, and narrative to existing images.
We will experiment with basic embroidery techniques, discuss how thread interacts with photographic surfaces, and explore ways stitching can highlight, obscure, or reinterpret a photograph. No prior embroidery experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
By the end of the class, participants will create their own embroidered photograph and gain techniques for continuing this mixed-media practice.
Provide your own photograph or polaroid photograph.
No experience necessary—just curiosity and creativity.
Beginner and family friendly!
