About this Event
The APP Fall Symposium is an annual continuing education event welcoming nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians, students, and other health care providers in the valley and around the country who are interested in learning about the most current evidence-based practices in pediatric medicine. The quality and breadth of content is also beneficial for individuals needing a thorough review of basic pediatric clinic information. Specific topics for this year’s symposium include food allergies, voiding disorders, tongue tie, neonatal jaundice, head shape/size, and attention deficit and hyperactivity.
By attending, you will be able to:
- Utilize new evidence-based treatment and management strategies for selected pediatric illnesses/disease/events (i.e., headache, menorrhagia, asthma, pediatric mental health, and dog bites).
- Know how to assess critical changes in status and when to refer to a subspecialty.
- Understand the primary care physician and primary care APP role in the transition and coordination of care among subspecialty providers
