Philadelphia can lay claim to thousands upon thousands of pieces of art, free and accessible to the general public in addition to its world class museums. Join us for a walking tour of the finest pieces found in the Old City and Chinatown neighborhoods of Center City Philadelphia. We will dive into the craftsmanship and history of over thirty pieces of art - statues, sculptures, murals, and more - and connect them to the history of the city, the state, and the nation as we enjoy a stroll around town.
Put on those walking shoes, grab a bottle of water, and get ready for an amazing tour through the city of brotherly love, and sisterly affection, as we SEEK out famous works of art, EXPLORE their history and meaning, and WANDER about town.

WHAT TO BRING (GEAR)
Good, solid, comfortable walking shoes that you can walk 4+ miles in on concrete pavements & sidewalks. We advise not wearing flip-flops or any other flimsy footwear. We also advise that you not wear anything that you would mind getty dirty, dusty, wet, etc., depending on conditions.
A bottle or two of water
A bag or other means of carrying personal items
Cameras & cellphones (for pictures) welcome! Make sure they're fully charged!
Snacks as needed (something portable like trail mix, candy bars, fruit, etc.)
Appropriate clothing based on the forecasted weather conditions - temperature, precipitation, etc. for the duration of the tour/event. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions or concerns about clothing or other gear to bring before any tour/event.
BREAKS/BATHROOMS
There will be two short 10 minute bathroom breaks on our tour.
Bathrooms are available at the start/end point at the Independence Visitors Center.
Other bathrooms needs/stops will be up to participants to find, use, and then rejoin the group
