RETURNING TO HUNTINGDON HALL WORCESTER NEARLY TWENTY FIVE YEARS SINCE HIS LAST APPEARANCE AT THIS FABULOUS VENUEFormer ELO Star And Frontman Phil Bates will be returning to play Huntingdon Hall nearly twenty five years since he last performed here.
When Jeff Lynne decided he didn’t want to tour with ELO anymore in 1988, drummer Bev Bevan formed ELO 2 the following year, and invited Phil Bates to join the band as lead guitarist and vocalist. He spent nearly a decade in the band playing such prestigious venues at The Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Sydney Opera House. After he left ELO 2 he toured with the highly regarded Eleanor Rigby Experience; so expect some fabulous reworkings of his favourite Beatles songs.
Phil Bates released four critically acclaimed albums and one live album. But of course this show wouldn’t be complete without lots of those fantastic Jeff Lynne songs which made ELO one of the biggest and most successful bands in the world.
