About this Event
Personal to Persona
This class explores the use of voice in poetry, focusing on the shift from personal expression to the creation of distinct personas. Participants will experiment with different perspectives, exploring how voice shapes meaning and identity in a poem. Through writing exercises and group discussions, students will learn to craft voices that move beyond their own experiences, creating characters or personas that tell diverse stories. The class will provide tools to help poets expand their range, pushing the boundaries of their work by exploring new ways to inhabit and express multiple voices within their poetry.
