As a community it is our responsibility to ensure the younger generation are cared for, supported and provided with the knowledge and opportunities to understand and care for our earth. All adults - parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, caregivers, educators - anyone! - are responsible to ensure our children grow into resilient and capable members of our communities.When applied to parenting, and caring for children in general, permaculture invites us to slow down, observe, and respond with care. It encourages us to create supportive environments for our children, nurture resilience, and build rhythms that align with the natural world, all while simplifying the demands in a world that often feels fast and overwhelming.
Join Sarah [@sarahfromthecosmos] and Sam [@acaciaplay] for “Slow and Simple Solutions to Build Resilient Communities - Permaculture in Action”, a thoughtful and hands-on gathering where we’ll explore how the wisdom of permaculture can support us in supporting and raising resilient, grounded children, families and community.
While any little ones engage in outdoor exploration and sustainable experiences with Sam in the Acacia Play Area, the grown-ups will settle in for an open and heart-led discussion with Sarah, exploring how permaculture ethics and principles can support a simpler, more sustainable family life.
Please bring along a plate of food to join for a shared pot lunch.
