About this Event
Come and read your own poems at Penge Poets which has been going for more than ten years. Or simply sit and listen to the work of others. Nick Alldridge is our 'featured poet' who will read from his work and have a recent book for sale. We meet seasonally. The venue and time is announced in advance.
First half: Dr Chris O'Shaughnessy raises awareness about a poet linked to Penge in some way. E.g. Alfred Lord Tennyson who has a road named after him. Second half: Nick Alldridge and local poets read their work from the floor.
Entry is bookable on Eventbrite. £5 (plus booking fee) includes tea/coffee/soft drink and nibbles. Wine available for a small extra donation.
Penge East Community Centre is on Station Road near Penge East Station. See map attached.
As Penge Poets is a voluntary group all monies raised simply help to pay our way.
