This tournament is the provincial scholastic championship. Students compete only against others in the same grade. The 12 winners (grades 1-12) qualify as part of Team PEI for the Canadian Chess Challenge national finals on May 16-18, 2026 in Winnipeg, MB.Tournament starts at 1 pm. Check in no later than 12:45. Doors open at 12:30.
Pre-registration is required! No Entries on the day of the event.
Players must pre-register by email before 6 pm on Thursday March 26. Please include the player's full name, school and grade.
Entry fee can be paid by e-transfer to this email or by cash at the tournament at check-in.
If you cannot attend after pre-registering, please let us know as soon as possible.
Fee: $20; $15 for second family member.
Please note: participants in Grade 1-4 must have participated in at least one PEIYCA event since September 2024.
