The Wachholz College Center on the campus of Flathead Valley Community College is excited to be the home of PechaKucha Kalispell in 2026. Created in Japan in 2003 by a group of architects, PechaKucha is a presentation format that uses a fixed number of slides, each advancing automatically after a set time, encouraging presenters to be concise and maintain a dynamic pace. There are over 1,200 chapters worldwide. PechaKucha means “chit chat” in Japanese. The local Kalispell PechaKucha chapter was formed in 2017.Join us for PechaKucha night on Thursday, April 30 at the Wachholz College Center in Kalispell as we take a broad view of Creative Placemaking. In rapid-fire 20 x 20 format (20 slides for 20 seconds each) you'll hear from community members about their whys of creating imaginative spaces for our community to gather, dance, celebrate, reflect and be inspired. For Volume 12, PechaKucha takes the stage in McClaren Hall and explores community and creativity through the lens of entrepreneurs, restaurant owners, tastemakers, event hosts, publishers and more. Bring your curiosity, your friends and your love for connection and community.
