About this Event
Loosely inspired by Thorton Wilder’s classic play Our Town, Essex Corners is a humorous and poignant exploration of the past century of American life, seen from the perspective of several generations of one family in a small New England town in a rapidly changing America. Written by award-winning playwright Hoyt Hilsman and directed by PCC Professor Suzanne Hunt-Jenner, this production at PCC is a world premiere.
About the Author -
Hoyt Hilsman is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter. His plays have been produced around the United States and internationally. He has written screenplays for Sony, Disney, New Line, NBC and ABC, and has been a regular theater and television critic for Variety and HuffPost. He is a former member of the PCC Board of Trustees and is current President of the PCC Foundation.
This performance is presented to satisfy a portion of the requirements for Technical Theater (THRT 12A), Theater Rehearsal and Performance (THRT 029), Stage Techniques (THRT 030), and/or Fundamentals of Stage Lighting (THRT 041).
