About this Event

About the course

This hands-on teacher training course explores the Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology and the use of AI and digital tools to enhance student engagement, creativity, and critical thinking.

You will practice how to design and implement project-based and inquiry-based lessons that promote active, student-led learning and meaningful classroom participation.

You will also practice how to use AI ethically and responsibly in your professional practice.

Participants will have the chance to meet and collaborate with teachers from across Europe who have already signed up for the course and will be coming to Dublin to increase their skills.

Visit the course page on our website to find more detailed course content and learning outcomes.

Why it matters

Today’s students are growing up in a fast-changing, technology-driven world that demands creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, but traditional methods alone can struggle to keep students motivated and connected to real-world learning. PBL offers a proven framework for deep engagement, while AI tools allow teachers to personalise learning, support inquiry, and streamline their workload. Together, they empower educators to make learning more authentic, adaptive, and future-ready.

Format and suitability

The sessions are practical, hands-on and adaptable to educators’ needs. It is suitable for all teachers and will be tailored to the school type (primary, secondary, VET).

The sessions will run from the 12th to the 16th of January 2026 from 9 am to 2 pm.

Assessment and Certificates

Assessment of performance will be through a delegate-completed portfolio of work. The final course certification for successful completion is a college-issued “Course Certificate of Completion” for each module studied. In addition, where applicable, delegates will receive relevant EuroPass certificates.
