Paul Draper is best known for being the lead vocalist with band Mansun. He made a name for himself by providing vocals and guitar for his band, Grind in 1991 - only releasing one single. Mansun was formed a few years after with bassist Stove King, guitarist Dominic Chad and drummer Andie Rathbone. The 1997 debut album, Attack Of The Grey Lantern was a hit reaching number 1 in the UK album charts. The singles Taxlo$$ and Wide Open Space are the bands best known songs. Wide Open Space went on to become a popular club track due to a 'Paul Oakenfold' remix (under the name Perfecto). Mansun disbanded in 2003. Draper went onto collaborate with Skin and The Joy Formidable . He has also been pursuing various solo projects. He is acclaimed for his stylish dress sense and for being a major figure on both the Britpop and post-Britpop scene(s).
