A new series of electronic music events focused on experimentation, participation, and community. What is an EMOM?
EMOM stands for Electronic Music Open Mic.
It’s a format designed for electronic artists to test ideas, perform live, and share work in progress in a supportive environment.
Performers typically play short sets (around 10–15 minutes). These can be:
Live hardware jams
Laptop performances
Modular or synth-based sets
Audiovisual experiments
Works in progress or sketches
The emphasis is on trying things out, not perfection.
What to expect
This is not a traditional gig night.
EMOM is:
Informal and welcoming
Focused on process as much as outcome
Open to different styles of electronic music
A space to meet other artists and share ideas
You can come to:
Listen and discover new sounds
See how different setups and approaches work live
Connect with other people making electronic music in North Devon
Want to perform?
We’re actively inviting artists to take part in this event and future EMOM nights.
If you’re working with:
Synths
DAWs
Drum machines
Modular systems
Field recordings or experimental setups
…you’re welcome.
You don’t need a finished set. You don’t need to be established. If you’re making electronic music and want to try it out live, this is for you.
