Learn the Foundations of Professional Pattern Cutting & Garment Development

Join our 7-week creative pattern-making workshop designed for adults (18+) who want to develop practical fashion design and garment construction skills within a supportive learning environment.

This structured Tuesday evening programme introduces participants to the fundamentals of flat pattern cutting, garment development, and calico toile construction through step-by-step guided learning and one-to-one support.

Throughout the programme, participants will:

  • Learn how to draft a 1/4-scale bodice block
  • Develop understanding of body measurements and garment structure
  • Explore pattern cutting techniques and pattern manipulation
  • Progress from scale development into full-scale pattern drafting
  • Construct a calico sample garment for fit analysis
  • Build confidence using professional fashion-making techniques
  • Receive individual guidance and technical support throughout the course

The workshops are designed to support beginners, emerging creatives, fashion students, and community learners interested in developing technical fashion skills in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

By the end of the programme, participants will leave with:
