We’ve been invited to be part of Woof: The Auckland Rainbow Dog Show, and we’re excited to bring some greyhound joy along for the day. If you’ve ever wondered what life with a greyhound is like, this is a great chance to see it up close; the fun, the weird, and the wonderful.
Adopting a greyhound shouldn’t just be on your list because they are fabulous companions (which they absolutely are), or because around 3,000 of them currently are/or soon will be looking for homes in earnest. It should also be on your list because they are genuinely FUN to live with.
Whether it’s the bendy snoots, the cheeky thieving, the limbs-akimbo zoomies, or the classic bed fails, greyhounds have a very particular way of doing life that is equal parts joyful and a little bit ridiculous (in the best way).
So come along, say hi, and help us show Ponsonby just how delightful greyhound life can be.
Woof! Dog Show Entry Details
Where: Lower Western Park, Ponsonby (closest access via Beresford Street West)
When: Register from 1:00 PM; show starts 2:00 PM sharp
Cost: $5 cash per category

• Best in Show
Tips: Bring cash and arrive early for registration and to browse the stalls.
Bring your friends, bring your curiosity, and if you have a houndy, bring them along too. We’d love to see some greyhounds represented on the runway!
