Explore South Africa in a tasting of three wines and a classic local staple, uncovering the country’s vibrant spirit and remarkable stories.
About this Event

Take a seat, pour a glass, and let us take you on a journey to South Africa.

Passport to South Africa is your one-hour introduction to the country’s bold flavours, rich heritage, and world-class wines.

At this beginner-friendly tasting offers three South African wines, all served alongside a South African food staple that captures the spirit of the Cape. Along the way, you’ll uncover the stories behind the vines, explore the roots of South African cuisine, and discover a few modern gems too. Plus you’ll receive a £20 voucher after the event to use in our restaurants and shops.

January: Welcome to The Cape

At our very first event, we’re exploring wines from Swartland, Simonsberg, and the Coastal Region - a snapshot of the country’s diverse landscapes and the stories that shaped them.

From shipwrecked sailors who planted the Cape’s first vines, to a restless winemaker chasing midnight dreams, to a French peasant who found freedom in new soil - South African wine was never just made, it was forged in courage, curiosity, and the promise of a better life.

The flight will be served with a true national treasure: biltong, the savoury, air-dried delicacy that’s as unmistakably South African as the vines themselves.

What's included in your ticket:

  • A 60 minute guided tasting by our wine team
  • A wine flight of three wines, poured in small tasters
  • A South African food staple served alongside the flight
  • £20 voucher after the event to use in our restaurants and shops
