An International Women’s Month Writing Workshop under the theme "Give To Gain”

Workshop Overview
When women exchange words and ideas, we create spaces of intimacy, reflection, solidarity and resistance. Passing Notes explores writing as exchange rather than performance, inviting participants to rediscover storytelling as dialogue rather than display. This immersive workshop traces four powerful forms of women’s expression: diaries, letter correspondences, oral networks and histories, and zines. Through guided exercises and reflective discussion, participants will experiment with writing to someone rather than for an audience.

About the Facilitators:
Devi Sastry is a writer, editor and educator from Bengaluru. She holds an MFA in Poetry from New York University, and her work has been published in Wasafiri, dhoop magazine, Poetry Northwest, Honey Literary and Bengaluru Review, among others. Her work has been shortlisted for the Oxford University Poetry Society’s Martin Starkie Prize and the Osmosis Poetry Prize. Devi has taught writing courses at NYU and Montclair State University and regularly conducts creative writing workshops.
Zui Kumar Reddy is a writer and editor whose work has appeared in Out of Print, The Federal, Kitaab, The Peal, Homegrown, and The Bombay Literary Magazine. She was the first Sonny Mehta India Scholarship Awardee at the University of East Anglia MA Creative Writing Programme (2022), and was shortlisted for the 4th Estate and Guardian Short Story competition the same year. She has facilitated writing workshops and is currently working on her debut novel, 'The Generation of Light'
