An Examiners Point Of View

ADI/PDI Exam Training Day with Former Senior Examiner Bradley Ward

Passing Part 3 and Standards Checks isn’t about guesswork, luck, or copying what others say worked for them.
It’s about delivering a good quality lesson. Although understanding exactly how examiners think, mark, and make decisions on the day helps.

This is a one-day, examiner-led training event designed to give PDIs and ADIs clear and honest understanding of what it actually takes to pass a Part 3 or Standards Check.

Led by Bradley Ward, former Senior ADI Examiner, this day goes inside the examiner mindset — breaking down the marking process, exposing common myths, and explaining why capable instructors still fail.

It’s real examiner insight from someone who has assessed hundreds of candidates.

What You’ll Learn on the Day

This training is practical, direct, and based on real exam scenarios.

You’ll cover:

  • The most common reasons candidates fail Part 3 and Standards Checks
  • A real exam case study, broken down step by step
  • How the marking sheets actually works
  • What examiners are thinking during the test
  • How marks are lost, and justified
  • Common misconceptions about learner tests
  • What candidates think they’re doing right vs what examiners actually see
  • Key insights from Bradley Ward’s books — and how to apply them on test day

Who This Training Is For

This day is ideal for:

  • PDIs preparing for Part 3
  • ADIs preparing for Standards Check
  • ADIs delivering PDI training
  • Instructors who want to do some CPD
  • Instructors who have failed previously and want clarity
  • PDIs/ADIs close to test but lacking confidence
  • Instructors who want examiner-level feedback

Why This Training Is Different

Most ADI training is based on interpretation.
This training is based on examiner reality.

You’ll get:

  • Straight answers
  • Clear examples
  • Examiner-approved standards
  • Practical guidance you can apply immediately
  • And lunch provided

No waffle. No recycled advice. Just the truth behind the pass mark.

Questions will be welcomed throughout the day, however Bradley has asked that any questions you already have are sent in advance, so they can be reviewed and addressed during the session where possible. We estimate questions will finish at 2.30pm but could run over.

You can send your questions to [email protected]

Limited Spaces Available

To keep the session focused and allow for discussion and real understanding, places are limited.

If you want to understand the ADI exams from the examiner’s side of the desk, this is the training day you’ve been looking for.
