About this Event
We are holding a series of open events in June / July 2026 for Year 5 boys who are interested in a place at KEGS in Year 7 in September 2027, together with ONE parent or carer.
The dates are:
Monday 29th June (afternoon)
Tuesay 30th June (morning)
Wednesday 1st July (morning)
Thursday 2nd July (afternoon)
Friday 3rd July (afternoon)
There are a choice of 2 sessions each day.
The programme includes a tour of the school, and a presentation from the Headteacher and some of our Year 8 students, followed by a short Question and Answer session. Please allow up to 1hr 35 hours for your visit. Please select your timeslot and it is important that your arrive promptly as sessions will start on time. Tours will be partly outside so please dress for the weather.
Please note that for the safety of our students there is NO PARKING on the school premises except for those with mobility issues - please contact the school should this be the case. The nearest car park (Rectory Lane) is opposite the school, accessed via Elms Drive off Broomfield Road. Please be aware that the car park is likely to be busy, and families are advised to allow sufficient time to park in an alternative location should the need arise.
Visitors should also be aware that the car park is cashless, payable by credit or debit card or MiPermit app. Locations of alternative car parks can also be found on the www.chelmsford.gov.uk website.
Alternatively the school is on a number of bus routes, and is just a 5 minute walk from Chelmsford railway and bus stations.
