Parasol Patrol will be walking with the Denver Pride Parade on June 28, 2026. We meet at 17th and Franklin at 8:45 a.m. in downtown Denver to find our spot in line, decorate the truck and prepare to step off. If you've ever volunteered to help shield kids from hate,you deserve a place to shine! We will have the truck set up for those who prefer to ride than walk.Our overall mission is to use umbrellas to create a peaceful visual barrier from hateful signs, slurs, and intimidation, while calmly escorting families into the event. For little ones, we also provide noise-canceling ear protection to soften the shouting and bullhorns that often target inclusive community gatherings.
We are seeking volunteers to come show the community who we are in numbers!
No confrontation. No engaging protesters. Just steady presence, bright umbrellas, and a community showing kids they are deeply loved.
Parasol Patrol is not there for the protesters. We are there because every child deserves to enter with dignity, joy, and safety.
