Praised by **The New York Times** and Vijay Iyer, she has collaborated with artists including Mary Halvorson, Joel Ross, Aaron Parks, and Nicole Mitchell.**Rajna Swaminathan** is an acclaimed mrudangam artist, composer, and scholar whose work bridges Karnatik music, jazz, improvisation, and experimental composition. Described by *the New York Times* as “unlike any other on the scene,” she leads the ensemble RAJAS and is an Assistant Professor of Music at UC Irvine.
