About this Event
We will be treated to a 3 course Palestinian supper, carefully and lovingly made using family recipes passed down in time, showcasing Palestinian ingredients and the delicious food it has to offer. We believe that eating together connects us and helps to heal.
Each chef will tell stories of their food and its origins.
We've also curated a drinks menu to showcase the incredible ingredients Palestine has to offer.
In between courses you will be immersed in poetry readings from Hanan Issa, Wales's very own poet laureate.
This evening is about coming together, being joyful and keeping alive Palestinian culture and food.
Joy and storytelling are a form of resistance.
There will be a market table, where you can browse and purchase art, food and t-shirts.
All proceeds will be going to Restless Beings and PCRF (Palestine Children's Relief Fund), both these charities are currently working on the ground helping people directly.
Please arrive for 7pm. Access is at the entrance of Wydham arcade on the Hays, opposite the library.
This evening is brought to you by- Jenan, Melissa at the Secret Garden Cafe, Kas from Waterloo tea, Maddie from Welsh women 4 Gaza and Ericka Duffy.
