Palestine at the Palace Kids Culture Day

Calling all children and their grownups! Crystal Palace Friends of Palestine is hosting a Kid's Culture Day on 1 June 2024 from 12-3pm at the Phoenix Community Centre in Upper Norwood (Crystal Palace). The afternoon will be a celebration of the vibrancy of Palestinian culture. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of storytelling, dancing, painting, kite-making, workshops and crafting led by Palestinian educators, dancers, storytellers and artists.

In addition, our specially invited Palestinian stall holders be selling a variety of exclusive children’s goodies, including story books, soft toys, jewellery, kuffiyehs, tatreez, and t-shirts. Try a delicious knafeh cupcake or a watermelon cake pop from Saffron & Honey Bakery, and enter our prize draw to win a beautiful hand-crafted doll wearing a traditional Gazan thobe. There will also be raffle tickets for sale with fabulous toys as prizes.

We have made entry and all activities free for children so that as many as possible can participate in this fantastic event; any money raised from donations will be used to cover our costs . All activities and workshops are 'first come, first served'- so arrive early!

• It is advisable to bring cash on the day as not allstall holders will be able to take card payments.
