About this Event

On 24 November at 5:00pm, the Glasgow Centre for International Law and Security will host talk on “Palestine at the International Court of Justice”, featuring Professor Ardi Imseis of Queen’s University. Drawing on his distinguished career as a scholar and practitioner of public international law, Professor Imseis will offer an exploration of Palestine’s involvement in recent cases before the ICJ.

In addition to twelve years serving as a United Nations official – including in roles with UNRWA and UNHCR – he has advised and appeared in cases before the ICJ and other international fora. His scholarship spans human rights, humanitarian law, and the law of statehood, with publications in leading journals such as the American Journal of International Law and the Harvard International Law Journal. He is also the author of 'The United Nations and the Question of Palestine', published by Cambridge University Press in 2023.

We warmly invite you to join us for this thought-provoking discussion.
