Come celebrate Palentine’s Day with an afternoon of creativity and connection. Whether you bring your bestie, your partner, or show up solo ready to meet new friends, this workshop is all about making something beautiful together.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the basics of flower crown construction using floral wire, tape, and a selection of blooms and greenery. We’ll start with a demo, then you’ll design and build your own custom, wearable flower crown — whimsical, romantic, or wild, depending on your vibe. Along the way, you’re invited to snack, chat, and enjoy a few gentle, heart-centered touches designed to make the afternoon feel extra special.
All materials and tools are provided, and no experience is necessary. This is a beginner-friendly, cozy, low-pressure space to play with flowers, chat, and enjoy a few hours of creative joy.
You’ll leave with:
- A handmade flower crown to wear or gift
- The skills to make more at home
- And, hopefully, a few new sweet connections
This class will take place at Swoon City. Our address is 1716 NW Market Street, Seattle, WA 98107. It's at the intersection of 17th and NW Market Street - kitty corner from Mighty-O Donuts.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class begins.
Our current masking protocol is that anyone attending an event can email us at [email protected] to let us know they prefer that people wear masks up to 72 hours before the event begins. Your request is anonymous to all the other participants. Please note, this class will take place in the open bookstore and all customers will not be masked.
Attendees will receive an email before the class to let them know If we will be requiring masks be worn.
About the instructor
Nicole Capó Martínez (they/them) is a multihyphenate artist and writer and the founder of What’s-Its, a colorful, playful crafted goods brand inspired by trinkets, treasures, and small delights.
They formerly managed a floral boutique in Washington, DC, where they developed a deep love for floral design and for teaching others how to work with flowers in ways that feel both approachable and magical. Today, their work blends hands-on making, storytelling, and community-centered creativity, with a focus on creating spaces that invite softness and joy.
When they're not crafting, Nicole is usually working on one of their many creative projects, dreaming up new ideas, or helping others make something beautiful.
