About this Event
ABOUT THE CUISINE
Pakistani cuisine is a vibrant celebration of flavours, colours, and hospitality. Rich spices, fresh herbs, and slow-cooked stews are combined with rice, breads, and fresh vegetables to create meals that are deeply comforting and full of heart. Every dish tells a story of generosity and community, with food made to be shared and enjoyed together. From aromatic curries to crisp fritters and refreshing salads, Pakistani food is bold, soulful, and utterly welcoming.
ABOUT THE CHEF
A message from chef KTK:
“I’m KTK from Pakistan. I’ve been here since 2019, moving to London in 2022. I’m very proud of the generosity and hospitality of Pakistani food and culture. If you visited, you wouldn’t want to leave.
I joined Migrateful because I love cooking and feeding people. I know the way to the heart is through sharing good food and it brings me great joy to share my country’s delicious food.
I’ve overcome very challenging circumstances since I arrived in the UK and grown so much stronger and more independent than I thought possible. Previously, I wasn’t valued by those for whom I had sacrificed my life by moving here, but time is teaching me my true value.
My first language is Pashto, I also speak Urdu & Arabic, and have been learning English since 2022. I offer Pashto interpretation for a charity as previously when I really needed this service it wasn’t available, so I know how important this is to others.”

THE CLASS FORMAT
Our cookery classes are family-style - meaning everyone works together to prepare the dishes as a team.
While you’ll be asked to choose one dish to focus on, you’ll have the opportunity to move around the kitchen, help with other dishes, and learn from each recipe. It’s a fun, social, and collaborative way to cook! At the end of the class, you’ll sit down with the chef, class facilitator and volunteers to enjoy the delicious meal you’ve created together.
