About this Event
What does a safe space look like to you, as a survivor? How about a dream space? Join us for our newest workshop - Painting Dreamscapes!
Using a combination of painting and collage, participants will construct fantasy spaces, or dreamscapes, where they can explore the limitless possibilities for healing, growth, and expression. Participants will learn how to mix colors that evoke different feelings and build rich compositions using collage techniques, ranging from fantastical landscapes to cozy safe spaces. Weaving together colors, textures, and vibrant imagery, participants will discover how the processes of painting and collaging can facilitate a sense of agency in their stories, as they navigate healing and growth.
Dreamscapes can be safe containers for survivor experiences and stories but can also allow participants to go one step further and create compositions that explore the limitless possibilities for flourishment and realizing the fullest versions of themselves. This workshop accommodates both participants looking to paint traditionally as well as individuals who are interested in mixed-media approaches.
