What better way to welcome in the spring time than with hand-painted mug? Perfect for sipping a warm cup of coffee on brisk spring morning or ending the beautiful day with a calming cup of tea.
YOWIE will be hosting their next mug painting workshop with Philly based ceramicists Molly Berlin and Claire Downes Whitehurst.
Please join us Wednesday April 3rd from 6-8pm, we will have free wine and light snacks during the workshop.
Meet the artists running the workshop!
Claire is a painter, printmaker and sculptor pulling from the landscape and atmosphere of the deep South, exploring queer space, memory and time through color, form, surface and composition.
Molly is a potter focused on handbuilding large scale, sculptural vessels influenced by archetypal forms in porcelain and terracotta with surfaces inspired by pop culture and her childhood growing up inside her parents' kite shop in South Jersey.
Claire and Molly share a studio at the Bok and make collaborative pieces together as well as their own work.
*Mugs will be available for pickup in store two weeks after the workshop. We can possibly accommodate non locals with shipping upon request.
