Paige Academy's Kwanza NYE Celebration

You are cordially invited to an elegant evening at Paige Academy to celebrate Kwanza and welcome the New Year. We will commemorate the enduring principles of Nia (Purpose) and Kuumba (Creativity) while honoring our 57 year legacy as a cornerstone community school in Roxbury. Join us for a night of inspiration, music, and creativity that embodies the vibrant spirit of our ancestors.

This special occasion marks the reopening of our beautifully renovated early education center at 40 Highland Avenue after a $2 million capital project funded by the Children’s Investment Fund, Liberty Mutual Foundation, and the Franklin Square House Foundation.

The festivities will take place across Paige Academy’s campus buildings, offering the following distinctive musical and cultural experiences:

Live Jazz
Steel Drums
DJ Chris
Kwanza African Drummers rotating through all venues

Indulge in a selection of appetizers, drinks, and delicious cuisine as you explore the unique ambiance of each space. We invite you to dress to impress and bring your dancing shoes for this adults-only gala, honoring our esteemed Paige alumni while uniting the community in support of our mission.

Ticket sales and donations are graciously accepted on a sliding scale, reflecting the Seven Principles and essential symbols of Kwanza:

Umoja (Unity) – $100
Imani (Faith) – $250
Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) – $500
Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility) – $1,000
Nia (Purpose) – $2,500
Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) – $5,000
Nguzo Saba (Seven Principles) – $10,000

All proceeds will be used to further our collective dream of Paige in Perpetuity.
