About this Event
The WULF project team is offering TWO online accredited courses (Paediatric First Aid and Anaphylaxis Awareness worth £60) for one, highly subsidised fee.
Paediatric First Aid Online Training Course
This Paediatric First Aid training course will teach those who work with infants or children how to deliver paediatric first aid assistance in an emergency. It covers a variety of fundamental first aid topics, including the law surrounding first aid, how to carry out primary and secondary surveys, how to put children and infants into the recovery position, how to administer life-saving CPR, how to use defibrillators, and how to provide assistance for a variety of injuries and illnesses.
Anaphylaxis Awareness Training
This online Anaphylaxis Awareness course is designed to help learners understand more about what anaphylaxis is, what the symptoms of allergies and anaphylaxis are, and what can be done to help a person with anaphylaxis manage the condition.
Throughout the course you’ll learn more about the common symptoms to look out for amongst the people you work with, live with, care for or cater for. Upon completion of the training, you'll be able to understand the vital first aid measures to take – including how to put a person in the recovery position and how to administer an auto-injector - should someone suffer from an anaphylactic shock.
